2013 FALL MUSICAL-THEATRE WORKSHOP

FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AGES 8-18 YEARS (ENTERING 3RD THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL)

"CAROUSEL"

DIRECTED & CHOREOGRAPHED BY MARILYN IZDEBSKI MUSICAL DIRECTOR JUDY WIESEN

Auditions:

Friday, September 6th--Singing:
3:30-5:30 for 8-11 year olds (3rd-6th grade)
5:30-7:30 for 12-18 year olds (7th-12th grade)

Saturday, September 7th--Readings:
10:00-11:00 for 8-10 year olds (3rd-5th grade)
11:00-2:00 for 12-18 year olds (6th-12th grade)

• Everyone needs to wear appropriate clothes & shoes to dance in (NO FLIP FLOPS).
• Everyone needs to sing a happy, up-tempo, personality-filled, memorized show tune.
• Suggestions from "CAROUSEL": June is Bustin’ Out All Over,” "Mister Snow,"  etc.  Strong sopranos can try “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”
• If your song is from "CAROUSEL," you will NOT need sheet music. If your audition song is from any other musical,
   please bring sheet music or arrange for Marilyn to bring it.

Rehearsals:

Tuesdays, 3:30-6:30pm for 6th-12th grades
Fridays, 3:30-6:30pm for 3rd-5th/6th grades (and some Principals)
Saturdays, Noon-4pm for Principals
Sundays-TBA

A detailed rehearsal schedule will be available at the auditions.

 

Dress Rehearsals at The Playhouse in San Anselmo:

Monday through Thursday, November 11, 12, 13, 14 3:30-7:00pm

 

Performances at the Playhouse in San Anselmo:

Nov. 15, 16, 22 & 23  at 7:30pm, Nov. 16, 17, 23 & 24 at 1:00pm
 

WORKSHOP FEE: $435

Everyone who registers and auditions will be cast in the show!

Full rehearsal schedule & production details will be discussed at the mandatory Parent Meeting on
September 17, 6:30-8:00pm
